2 Teams To Ride With and 2 Teams To Avoid This Upcoming NFL Season

It’s time for football everybody. Ok, not officially, we are still in the preseason but still, the 2021 NFL season is almost upon us and in all honesty any time is a good time to talk about football. If you’re a fan of pro football action and like to bet on NFL games and action, you probably have an idea of which teams are always a good idea to pick and follow and which other ones to avoid.

Now, just because a team was bad last season doesn’t necessarily mean that you shouldn’t follow it this season, quite the contrary. Sometimes the story of teams that manage to bounce back from a bad season is always great. At the same time, just because a team was great the season before, does not necessarily mean that they will automatically be better the next season, with setbacks usually happening on a weekly basis. To help you get ready for the upcoming NFL season we bring you two teams to ride with during the season and two teams that you’d do best avoiding.

Ride With: Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills were one game away from reaching the Super Bowl last season. No no, I did not hit my head or go back in time to the early 90’s. Last season, the Buffalo Bills, led by superstar QB Josh Allen and company were one game away from reaching the Super Bowl. Can you imagine how ironic it would’ve been for Tom Brady to have to face an old AFC East rival in the Super Bowl, after having played in the AFC East his whole career before going to Tampa Bay?

The Bills will enter this upcoming season with one clear goal in their minds, reaching the Super Bowl. They have the coaching staff to do it, they have the roster to do it, they have one of the craziest and yet most loyal fan bases to do it, so riding with Buffalo through the season is a must.

Avoid: New York Giants

Sorry Giants fans, but Saquon Barkley will not magically come back and put his team behind his back to take the Giants back to the promised land. I mean it’s not like he couldn’t, the man is a behemoth of a running back, but without a quarterback who can truly lead this team into the field week in and week out to victory, the Giants are not looking so big right now.

Daniel Jones is not a bad QB, but he’s not what the Giants need. Their defense is good, they can have that, but again, it’s not looking too great for the Giants right now. Avoiding the Giants would definitely be a sound idea for the 2021 season.

Ride With: Tennessee Titans

Ryan Tannehill, AJ Brown and Julio Jones, yes the former Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Julio Jones, are the passing unit for the Tennessee Titans. Tannehill has gone through a career reviving tenure in Tennessee and adding the likes of Julio Jones to an already star receiver like Brown already put Tennessee as a top contender in the AFC.

If that isn’t enough, in case you want more, Tennessee also has the most dominant running back in the league right now in Derrick Henry. While Henry will most likely try to be the only player in NFL history to have two consecutive 2,000 total rushing yard seasons, Tennessee will be a menace to opposing defenses. If you like good offensive football and movie references, remember the Titans down the line.

Avoid: New York Jets

Let’s throw in New York’s other team here as well, why? Because while what they’ve done during the offseason has been remarkable with some solid free agency signings, an A+ new head coach signing and a very good draft class, this is still the Jets we’re talking about. While all the pieces seem like they will fit in well down the line, this season will not be the one in which this team breaks out and shocks everyone.

All hopes lie on rookie QB Zach Wilson to be the team’s new franchise QB for the future and while he’s very good at what he does, he needs time to settle into the pros. Avoid New York this season, but keep a close eye, because if all the pieces end up fitting right, we could be in for a green surprise next year.
