Huawei recently introduced EMUI 10 based on the latest Android 10, a new OS upgrade for its devices. According to the company, there are more than 500 million active daily users in the world using EMUI enabled devices. They are registered in 216 countries or regions around the world, supporting 77 different languages.
Since EMUI 8 had arrived, the inventory users have been close to 100 million. It further reached to 120 million marks when EMIUI 9 was launched. The upgrade rate is 84% nearly IOS 12, the company claimed during the EMUI 10 launch event.
EMUI 10 Features
EMUI 10 gains several new features and bug fixes over the EMUI 9. It will be called Magic UI 3.0, which is a rebranded version of EMUI 10 without any major change in the UI. The EMUI 10 obtains most of the features from Android 10 and some exclusively offering. In this article, we will be covering all the new features of EMUI 10. Let’s explore the EMIUI 10 best features!
The latest EMIUI version incorporates one of the most anticipated features Dark Mode. It is designed to follow the three principles of legibility, comfort, and consistency. Along with built-in Huawei apps, third-party applications can also have a dark experience with the system level. At present, many mobile phones have a dark mode. But the adjustments for the general third-party application do not well optimized resulting in a more serious split.
EMUI10 also introduces the Ark compiler to ensure that the new system is fluid enough. This also seems to indicate, even the older models of Huawei phones can upgrade EMUI10 under the support of the Ark compiler while ensuring that the phone runs smoothly.
On the technical level, simply say that the Ark compiler eliminates the need for secondary compilation after traditional Android application development, reducing system resource consumption. At the same time, the memory recovery mechanism has been improved with overall smooth experience. The Ark compiler will become fully open-source next year benefiting more Android apps.
New Icon Pack
Huawei has also redesigned the icon, but the overall style of EMUI 9.1 is continuous, and the old users will adapt to it. The new icon pack gets flattered and cleaner, which may be the result of the large use of the golden ratio. System’s photo albums and notes use a magazine design.
Always-on Display (AOD)
EMUI 10 gets an Always-on-display feature with applied major tweaks to EMUI 9. The battery indicator is now located at the top right of the display instead of the bottom, and you will be able to see currently playing music.
One of the most important features in EMUI 10 is refined video call functionality. It brings several changes in traditional video calling. You can now choose to use the microphone and speaker of the speaker to make a call. The sound quality and experience will be better. You can let the TV display the mobile phone video call on the big screen. But the mobile phone will handle all operations. Bringing multiple devices to seamlessly switch and merge usage scenarios.
PCs and mobile phones can work together with EMUI 10 for office and productivity. These devices can be easily connected by NFC or scan code to each other. The computer can control the mobile phone, and the mobile phone application can also be used on the computer screen. Data such as nails, WPS, and WeChat can be seamlessly shared between the phone and the computer as if it were the same device.
Another most important point is the introduction of a magazine format. Why do you like to read magazines? One of the reasons is that a large number of appropriate blanks make people visually very comfortable. EMUI 10 introduces this concept into the mobile phone page, enlarges the main title, and forms a layered sense with the second-level title and body. More in line with reading habits, EMUI10 is a design that strikes a good balance between magazine layout and one-handed control.
Android 10 highly focused on enhanced privacy functionality. Apps permissions have been improved significantly with apps require explicit permission to track your location in the background. Every time it will ask you to permit whenever a particular app needs your location. You have more power to manage your apps according to your needs. Apart from that, other security features have been upgraded either.
