Google Pixel 4 vs Pixel 4 XL vs Realme X2 Pro quick comparison

Google Pixel 4 was launched earlier this October. The next day Realme has launched its first spot-on flagship smartphone the Realme X2 Pro. Over the ages, Google and their Pixel smartphones have reared the trend of big specifications, rather than enhancing their software to get the top out of the hardware they use. To the extent that critics go, this has functioned fine for them, people praised the Pixel 3, 3 XL and 3a.

Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are competing with Realme X2 Pro. X2 pro is almost half of the price of Google phones (Pixel 4 and 4XL). Besides, X2 pro is the best camera phone having 32MP front and 64MP rear camera. There are many more differences between these three phones. Following is the detailed comparison: 

Physical size

  • Pixel 4: 147.1 x 68.8 x 8.2mm
  • Pixel 4 XL: 160.4 x 75.1 x 8.2mm
  • Realme X2 pro: 161 x 75.7 x 8.7 mm 

Expectedly, the Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL and Realme X2 pro vary in terms of physical size.

The Google Pixel 4 is 147.1 x 68.8 x 8.2mm and weighs 162g, whereas the Google Pixel 4 XL measures 160.4 x 75.1 x 8.2mm and weighs 193g and Realme X2 pro measures 161 x 75.7 x 8.7 mm and it weighs 199 g. X2 is a dual SIM phone whereas Google Pixel 4 and 4XL have a single SIM slot. Eventually, Realme X2 pro is larger and a bit heavier than Google pixel 4 and 4XL. X2 Pro is a dual SIM smartphone.

Display

The display size varies between the Pixel 4, 4 XL and Realme X2 pro. Pixel 4 offers a 5.7-inch screen with resolution 1080 x 2280 pixels, whereas the Pixel 4 XL has a 6.3-inch display has resolution 1440 x 3040 pixels and Realme X2 pro has a 6.5 inches screen with resolution 1080 x 2400 pixels.

All three phones Pixel 4, 4XL and X2 pro have a 90Hz refresh rate though. Pixel 4 and 4XL support HDR whereas Realme X2 pro supports HDR10+. The Realme X2 pro has a larger display but, Pixel 4XL has the highest resolution among the trio.

Battery

  • Pixel 4: 2800mAh
  • Pixel 4 XL: 3700mAh
  • Realme X2 pro: 4000 mAh

Pixel 4 has a 2800mAh battery, it supports Fast battery charging of 18W. Whereas the Pixel 4 XL has a 3700mAh battery, it also supports Fast battery charging of 18W. However, Realme X2 pro has a 4000 mAh having a Fast battery charging of 50W. The Realme X2 pro has a larger 4000 mAh battery, slightly more the Pixel 4 XL, but a bigger gap between standard Pixel 4.

  • Pixel 4 XL: $ 1,239.00 / £ 1,039.00
  • Realme X2 pro: $ 415.12 / £ 373.73

The Pixel 4 is $ 1,019.00 / £ 849.00, which is inexpensive than the Pixel 3, whereas the Pixel 4 XL starts at $ 1,239.00 / £ 1,039.00. And Realme X2 pro is $ 415.12 / £ 373.73. All in all, Realme X2 pro is far more inexpensive than Pixel 4 and 4 XL

Memory

  • Pixel 4: 64GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM
  • Pixel 4XL: 64GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM
  • Realme X2 pro: 64GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM

All three phones do not have a card slot, the internal memory of Pixel 4 is 64GB and 128GB having 6GB RAM. Pixel 4XL also has 64GB and 128GB internal memory with 6GB RAM. Whereas Realme X2 64GB has 6GB RAM, 128GB with 8GB RAM and 256GB with 12GB RAM.

Google Pixel 4, 4XL and Realme X2 pro are the same with 64GB internal storage. Whereas X2 Pro 128GB has 2GB more RAM than Pixel 4 and 4XL. Pixel 4 and 4XL does not offer 256 GB memory, however, X2 pro offers a smartphone with 256GB memory with 12GB RAM.   

Camera

  • Pixel 4: Dual Rear Camera (12.2 MP and 16 MP) and 8 MP Selfie Camera. 
  • Pixel 4XL: Dual Rear Camera (12.2 MP and 16 MP) and 8 MP Selfie Camera
  • Realme X2 pro: Quad Rear Camera (64 MP, 13 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP) and 16 MP Selfie Camera

Google Pixel 4 has 2 main cameras one is 12.2 MP and the other is 16 MP with an 8MP selfie camera. Pixel 4XL has the same camera features as Pixel 4. Whereas Realme X2 pro has 4 main cameras 64 MP, 13 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP with 16 MP selfie camera. Realme X2 has sharper rear and front camera as compared to Pixel 4 and 4XL, even though Pixel Duo is expected to produce overall optimized picture quality.
