It is the successor of Snapdragon 660, but overall there are minor changes in hardware including new Adreno 610 GPU. The SoC uses four custom Kryo 260 cores based on Cortex-A73 are pointed at 2.0GHz, and the remaining four Kryo 260 cores based on Cortex-A53 clock at 1.8GHz. The Realme 5 is another smartphone to arrive with Snapdragon 665 SoC. It was recently introduced in Indian and soon going to hit the global markets.
