RealMe finally unveiled the two new smartphones dubbed as Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro as it was promised earlier. Both the smartphones get some new features and worthy upgrades. In this article, we will be discussing the features and specifications of Realme 5 and 5 Pro and with quick comparison!

Realme 5 Specifications

The Realme 5 features a 6.5-inch 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ mini-drop display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the top. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor built-on 7nm technology. As for optics, there is a quad-camera setup on the back with 12MP, f/1.8, PDAF, EIS + 8MP  118° ultra-wide-angle lens + 2MP depth + 2MP macro lenses. On the front, it has a 13MP shooter hidden behind the waterdrop notch.

The device packs a massive 5,000 mAh non-removable battery, but with a standard 10W charger, that could be disappointing for some. As for storage, it has multiple variants with 3GB RAM & 32GB storage or 4GB RAM & 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It can be further expanded up to 256GB via dedicated micro SD slot. The handset runs on ColorOS 6.0 based Android 9 Pie out of the box. It measures 164.4×75.6×9.3mm and weighs 198 grams.

Realme 5 Pro Specifications

The Realme 5 pro accumulates relatively smaller 6.3-inch but with the higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ protected by Corning Gorilla 5 protection. The smartphone uses the same waterdrop display design as found on standard Realme 5. The handset is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset coupled with Adreno 616 GPU under the hood. As far as optics are concerned, it has also a quad-camera module on the back with main 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, EIS followed by the 8MP  119° ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The front-facing shooter is taken care of by the 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor.

The Realme 5 Pro brings a 4030 mAh non-removable battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging. For storage, it also has multiple variants with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM paired with 64GB storage or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB built-in storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB using external micro SD slot. Both the devices arrive with a physical fingerprint sensor embedded in the back. All the essential connectivity features are available Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C port for charging.

Realme 5 and 5 Pro Price and Availability in India

The Realme comes in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple color options and is priced at 9,999 INR for the base 32GB storage variant, 64GB storage variant costs 10,999, which goes up to 11,999 INR. On the other hands, The Realme 5 Pro is priced at 13,999 INR for base 4GB RAM / 64GB variant, 6GB / 64GB variant costs 14,999 INR and top variant is positioned at 16,999 INR with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. It has provided with two color options including Sparkling Blue and Crystal Green.

When it comes to availability, The Realme 5 will start selling from August 27 on Flipakart.com and Realme.com. The Realme 5 Pro will join it later from September 4 on both the platforms. The Pro version is also said to be available via Offline, while, the exact date is not yet announced.
