Redmi Note 8 confirmed to arrive with 48MP quad-camera and Snapdragon 665 processor

Earlier rumors pointed Redmi Note 8 to arrive with Snapdragon 665 and Note 8 Pro MediaTek Helio G90T. Finally, The company officially confirms that standard Redmi Note 8 will have Snapdragon 665 chipset, while, the company has already confirmed Redmi Note 8 Pro to pack the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC. However, both are very capable processors in the mid-range segment, but Helio G90T is more powerful.

When it compared to onboard specs, the Snapdragon 665 is powered by the octa-core CPU, where 4x Cortex-A73 (Kryo 260) cores are pointed at 2.0 GHz and power-efficient 4x Cortex-A53 (Kryo 260) cores are clocked at 1.8 GHz. On the other hand, The Helio G90T comes with 4x powerful Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05 GHz and other 4x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The Helio G90T also has relatively stronger Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU compared to Adreno 616 given to Snapdragon 665. The Snapdragon 665 is fabricated on the 11nm process, while, the Helio G90T uses 12nm process; here slight fever to Snapdragon 665 for the small structure to provide enhanced power efficiency. Overall, Helio G90T outperforms the Snapdragon 665 in all aspects, at least on paper.
