Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G was announced on June 16, 2020. It packs an octa-Core CPU up 2.0GHz using custom Kryo 560 cores. The SoC offers the 8nm node to make it power efficient. At the GPU front, it has relatively newer 619L graphics card to handle the graphics-intensive tasks. Furthermore, it can support up to dual 16MP + 16MP cameras or a single 192MP camera after compromising in some areas.
The Snapdragon 690 supports Quick Change 4+ for faster charging. All the essential connectivity options are present on this chipset. The SoC brings an integrated X51 5G modem, which can deliver up to 2.5Gbps download and 660Mbps upload speeds under 5G network. Overall, it is the successor of older Snapdragon 675 with 5G support and significant improvements in performance.
