Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite arrives in Europe, likely to be re-branded Mi CC9

Xiaomi to unveil Mi 9 Lite smartphone in Spain on September 16, the company confirms via a forum post. Given the provided specs like 48MP rear and 32MP front camera, it reminds us the Mi CC9. It was previously launched in China and likely to make its global debut under a new name. Nowadays, most of the Chinese manufacturers are following the same pattern.

Previously, we saw RealMe 5 Pro’s rebranding, which arrives as Realme Q in Mainland China. Even though there is nothing wrong with the strategy adopted by Chinese firms, it gives extra advantages to make settlements with a specific region, whether it is connectivity or other specs.

As the CC9 is already available in China, it isn’t hard to guess the specifications of Mi 9 Lite. The device can feature a 6.39-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. The company also confirms it to adopt 48MP main camera, which can get additional support from 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP depth sensors support. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with Adreno 616 GPU. It runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 out of the box.

Moreover, it will have 4,030 mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support. As for storage, we can expect 6GB RAM paired with 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The expansion option is there with up to 256GB external micro SD card via a hybrid slot. It further adds all the essential connectivity features and arrives with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
