Poco F1 officially confirmed to get the latest MIUI 11 update

Xiaomi yesterday announced MIUI 11, the latest user interface from the company. Further, the company released a roadmap of devices that are eligible to get the latest upgrade. However, the list only applies to Chinese devices, but some users are still confused and relating them to the global rollout. Poco F1, one of the most popular smartphones of 2018, is not included in the list because the device was never launched in China. Still, people are desperately asking questions on Socia Media.

When a Twitter user asked a question, “Why the Poco F1 is not included in the list?”, Alvin Tse, the global head of the Poco brand, officially confirmed that Poco F1 is surely getting the MIUI 11 sooner or later. She added, “This is list of China devices only. POCO not sold in China and will come with MIUI 11.”

He further pointed out, MIUI 11 stable rollout in China will take place in Mid October. Soon after, it will start pushing to Global devices, even though he didn’t confirm the exact date. To recall, Poco F1 uses the modified version of MIUI, slightly more close to the Stock Android. Therefore, it should be even more easy to implement the latest Android 10 features to the Poco F1.

The Pocophone F1 was announced in August last year. It features 6.18-inch 1080 x 2246 pixels Full HD+ LCD display. There is a dual 12MP + 5MP rear camera and a 20MP front-facing shooter to take selfies.

The smartphone was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, but currently, it is upgradable to Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10. It packs a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support. Overall, very capable hardware to run the latest MIUI 11 on the top. And please don’t be confused with Poco F1 or Pocophone F1, because Pocophone F1 is the global name of Poco F1 called in India.
