Presumably Redmi to announce 64MP camera smartphone on August 7

After the announcement of 64MP camera sensor, various brands started working to implement this module on their smartphones. Both Redmi and RealMe were appearing too curious to make it as early as possible to capture the mid-segment market.

Recently, RealMe official confirmed to announce its 64MP camera phone on August 8 in Delhi, India. Redmi now seems to follow the same path as they have published a new poster to make a new announcement on August 7, which clearly indicated something related to the camera, and statement imprinted reads “Image of the Future” on this invitation. Apparently, there are very bright chances of this to become a 64MP camera smartphone or just showcase of camera configurations.

64MP Camera Interface

Lately, Redmi officially released camera samples taken from Redmi device with having a 64MP camera. The posted image zooms on a cat with enough details around the eyes indicated strong capabilities of zooming. Subsequently, Lu Weibing, GM of Redmi, discloses the camera interface, further revealing the image output to be around 20MP from this new camera sensor.

Before that, Samsung had launched the ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with a 64MP camera module, that supports real-time HDR of up to 100-decibels. The new Redmi smartphone is most likely to adopt the same camera lens. However, the company didn’t reveal the actual name of the device, but the Redmi Note 8 is speculated to bring a 64MP camera. To recall, Redmi Note 7 Pro was launched with a 48MP camera, so this upgrade really makes sense. Unfortunately, we don’t have any other specs available except the camera.
