Realme Q is re-branded Realme 5 Pro, but the pricing is unimaginably cheap

The Chinese Firm today unpacks the Realme Q smartphone in China. As we were expecting, it is a rebranded version of recently announced Realme 5 Pro smartphone. On difference we have found is extra RAM & storage and significantly lower pricing. Nevertheless, all the specifications remain the same as found on Realme 5 Pro.

Realme Q Specifications

The Realme Q features 6.3-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ waterdrop notch display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 712AIE processor coupled with Adreno 616 GPU to manage the graphics-intensive tasks. The camera department is handled by the quad-camera module on the back with main 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, EIS + 8MP, 119-degree ultra-wide sensor + 2MP depth sensor + 2MP macro lens. On the front, it has a single 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor.

It packs 4035 mAh non-removable battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging. For storage, it has multiple variants; 4GB RAM / 64GB storage, 6GB RAM / 64GB storage and 8GB RAM / 128GB storage. The devices arrive with a physical fingerprint sensor embedded in the back. All the essential connectivity features are available Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C port for charging.

Pricing and Availability

The Realme Q comes in two Diamond Green and Blue color options. The device is priced at 998 CNY (approx. 140$) for the base variant, 6GB RAM variant costs 1,198 CNY and top variant let you pay 1,498 CNY with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Overall, the price has been greatly reduced when it compared to Indian pricing, which starts from 13,999 INR or roughly converted into 195$. When it comes to availability, it is already up for pre-orders, while, the actual sale will begin from September 9 in China.
