Samsung Galaxy Fold pre-registrations open in China hinting imminent launch

Samsung’s much-awaited smartphone Galaxy Fold finally opened-up pre-registrations in China. The device was originally scheduled to be released on April 26 in the USA. Just before the official launch, many reviews units have started facing issues regarding display and more.

Afterward, the company decided to postpone the official release. Samsung Display Vice President Kim Seong-Cheol recently confirmed that all the problems regarding Galaxy Fold have been fixed, and it is ready for commercial launch. In addition, some other media reports pointed out its launch to take place between 18-20 September, which seems to be true looking at the current situation. However, the company didn’t yet confirm the exact date, but it is expected to launch soon.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Fold features 7.3-inch flexible AMOLED display combined with another 4.6-inch display on the cover. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. The camera department is handled by the triple 16MP + 12MP + 12MP camera on the back and a dual 10MP + 8MP rear camera, another 10MP selfie shooter on the cover; therefore, total six cameras are embedded on this device.

As for storage, it comes with 512GB internal storage paired with 12GB RAM without any storage expansion option. The handset packs 4380 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. Additionally, it also supports 15W fast wireless charging.
