Xiaomi has announced two new smartphones dubbed as Mi 9 Pro and Mi Mix Alpha Concept Phone respectively. Both smartphones bring some exciting features. Let’s explore it one by one!

Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro / Mi 9 Pro 5G Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro is an upgraded version of the original Mi 9 with upgraded hardware and 5G support. The handset features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 855+ chipset paired with Adreno 640 GPU at 700MHz. The rear portion gets a triple camera setup with 48MP + 12MP + 16MP sensor and a 20MP front-facing shooter for selfies. As for storage, it adds multiple variants with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of built-in storage, which can’t be expended further.

The device packs a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery 40W Quick Charge 4+ and 30W fan-cooled 30W wire-less charging. Needless to say, the wireless charging support on Mi 9 Pro is fastest on any smartphone. The smartphone runs Android 10 Pie-based on the latest MIUI 11 out of the box. A full glass design crafts it with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on either side surrounded by 7000 series Aluminium frames around the corners.

Considering the price, the Mi 9 Pro is priced at 3,699 CNY (approx. $520 or Rs. 37,000) for base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, 8GB RAM / 256GB variant costs 3,799 CNY (Approx. $535 or Rs. 38,000) , 12GB RAM / 256 costs 4,099 CNY (Approx. $575 or Rs. 41,000) and goes up to 4,299 CNY (Approx. $605 or Rs. 43,000) for higher 12GB RAM / 512GB internal storage. However, the standard variant without 5G support will be available for purchase starting from September 27, But the Mi 9 Pro 5G to get an official release on October 31.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha brings real innovation with wraps-in a fully working display on the front and both. The company claims that 7.92-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED delivers almost 180% screen-to-body ratio, which is incredible. The smartphone incorporates the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset to provide it enough power to handle high-end tasks. The edges are pressure-sensitive and will ensure notifications.

However, it doesn’t have any speaker or any other holes, but the ultrasonic proximity sensor can be used to hear the sounds with Display Acoustic Technology, including advanced palm rejection technology. The device packs massive 12GB RAM coupled with 512GB RAM. It also runs on the latest Android 10 based on the custom MIUI 11 user interface on the top.

Besides the attractive design, the device also packs the latest 108MP. Indeed, the new sensor uses pixel-binning technology to combine 4 pixels into one; eventually, it takes 27MP shots. The triple camera module also includes a 20MP ultra-wide followed by a 12 MP telephoto lens. The overall arrangement is 108MP + 20MP + 12MP, which can also be used as a selfie came because there is no camera on the front. All the essential connectivity features are available on both devices.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha Price and Availablity
