Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro launched in India – Price, Specifications and Availability

Xiaomi has finally announced Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro in India as expected. The Indian variant of Note 7 is slightly different than the Chinese one. The Note 7 Pro is another mid-range smartphone for the International audience, first arriving in Indian then it will be pushed to other countries.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inches 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ IPS LCD panel protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It arrives with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC cloaked at 4×2.2 GHz and 4×1.8 GHz, means it has overclocked octa-core CPU unlike the 1.9GHz on many other smartphones. For optics, it has a dual 12MP, f/2.2, 1/2.9″, 1.25 micrometer, PDAF +  2 MP, f/2.4, depth sensor rear camera, while, the front side is covered by a single 13 MP, f/2.2 snapper, which can record up to 1080p video.

It runs on the MIUI 10 based Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Regarding the storage, it has two variants either 3GB RAM +32GB storage or 4GB RAM + 64GB of built-in storage. The smartphone is less with a 4,000 mAh battery to keep the lights on. Furthermore, all the essential connectivity options are present including Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band), FM Radio, Dual Hybrid SIM slot, and USB Type-C port.

This is smartphone many people were waiting for. It accumulates the same 6.3-inch IPS Panel as Redmi Note 7 with Full HD+ resolution protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is powered by the 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. Primary four Kryo 460 cores are clocked at 2.0 GHz, whereas, rest four low power Kryo 460 cores are clocked at 1.7 GHz. As for optics, it comes with dual 48MP + 5MP rear camera. The 48MP sensor used on this device is Sony IMX586, not the Samsung GM1 sensor found on Redmi Note 7 Chinese variant. The selfie camera is a 13MP sensor.

It comes with two storage options: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. Under the hood, it also has a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery to handle the day to day usage. All the required connectivity options are available on this device. It runs on MIUI 10 based Android Pie out of the box.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro Price in India

The Xiaomi Note 7 price starts from 9,999 INR, which goes up to 11,999 INR and comes in Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue, and Ruby Red color options. The Pro variant costs 13,999 INR for base variant, while the high variant is priced at 16,999 INR. It includes Nebula Red, Neptune Blue and Space Black color options. When it comes to availability, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 first sale will take place on March 6 and Note 7 Pro will be released on March 13.
