Xiaomi sold 300k Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones in its first sale

The Chinese firm Xiaomi recently announced two new smartphones Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro respectively. Both the smartphones house some impressive features at a specific price point. Now, the company claims that they have already sold 3,00,000 Redmi Note 8 Pro units in its first sale, which isn’t surprising because of Redmi series one of the best mid-range smartphone series in the world.

The official Weibo account further reads it, “this number is an affirmation of Redmi Note 8 Pro, thanks to the support and trust of 3,00,000 users. It will be on sale again at 10 am on September 6 from 1399 yuan.” As far as pricing is concerned, the Redmi Note 8 Pro base 6GB + 64GB is priced at 1,399 CNY, 6GB + 128GB costs 1,599 CNY, which goes up to 1,799 CNY for 8GB + 128GB storage variant.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Specifications

The Redmi Note 8 features 6.53-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ LCD display. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset paired with 800MHz Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. The rear is surrounded by quad-camera module, where the main sensor is Samsung’s 64MP GW1 sensor coupled with 8MP, 120-degree ultra-wide lens + 2MP depth + 2MP macro lens. It runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 out of the box.

It packs 4500 mAh non-removable battery with 18W power supplied in the box. The device brings three storage variant with 6GB RAM / 64GB storage, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage and 8GB RAM / 128GB built-in storage, which can also further expended up to 256GB via micro SD slot. It has IP52 rated body for Splash resistant and other essential options are available on both the devices such as Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port for charging.
