A couple of days back, a device with model number M1908C3IC had appeared on TEENA to pursue the needed certificate. Initially, the device was assumed to be Redmi 8, going with its specifications. Now some prototype images have appeared on Facebook of the same device. It is allegedly claimed to arrive as Redmi 8A. The device model number is “olive” and expected to bring with Snapdragon 439 under the hood, the same chipset used on its predecessor. Rest of the specs are to remain the same as revealed by TEENA listing.

The device accumulates a 6.21-inch 720 x 1520 pixels HD+ display on the top. It comes with waterdrop notch design and packs a dual rear camera and a fingerprint sensor embedded underneath. It delivers 12MP as the main sensor and an 8MP selfie camera. In terms of design, it has improved significantly when it compared to Redmi 7A, but the hardware seems to remain identical. The battery has been increased to massive 5,000 mAh from 4,000 mAh found on the Redmi 7A. unfortunately, it still uses the standard 10W charger; therefore, no fast charging.

Moreover, the device runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 9.7. As far as storage is concerned, the top variant gets 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while, there are two more variants with 2GB RAM & 16GB storage and 3GB RAM & 32 GB internal storage respectively. When it comes to pricing, the random seller is selling it for $3,000 on Facebook marketplace, but this can’t be the official price. Current circumstances indicate that the device is soon going to launch officially. So, we have to wait for further confirmation.
