Vivo Nex 3 to retain 3.5mm jack, confirms Nex product manager

Vivo is rumored to launch its next flagship smartphone allegedly called Vivo Nex 3 before the end of this year, and most of its specs are unknown. Today, Vivo Nex product manager Li Xiang confirmed that upcoming Vivo flagship will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack. It will worth noting that most of the flagships devices of the current era are ditching this feature. But some music lover audience still prefers to have a 3.5mm enabled smartphones. Apart from that, he didn’t reveal anything else about this device.

According to the market rumors, the device will have a waterfall screen with sharp curvature on either side, almost 90-degree curve. Being a flagship device, we can expect Snapdragon 855+ chipset under the hood. Indeed, the company has shown interest when Qualcomm had announced Snapdragon 855+ processor. The device is likely to adopt an extremely high screen to body ratio with almost non-visible bezels and notch-less design.

Furthermore, the new Vivo Nex 3 smartphone may be the first to launch with the in-screen camera technology. It is said that Vivo has solved the “window effect” problem faced by the under-screen camera tech. To recall, Xiaomi is also testing the same technology presumably to use on its upcoming Mi Mix 4, therefore the race has been very interesting.
