Apple iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max officially announced; price, features, specs and more

Apple announces its next-generation smartphone series with three new devices called iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max respectively. Being a successor of the iPhone X series, we have the latest chipset and overall revamped look compared to the old series. According to Apple, the new Apple A13 Bionic SoC offers a 20% faster CPU and 30% more efficiency compared to Apple A13.

The CPU includes a total of six cores, where two power cores called Lightning are clocked @2.66 GHz, the other four cores called thunder are power efficient. The processor brings new GPU as well with 20% faster processing and insane 40% power efficiency according to the company. Dedicated octa-core Neural Engine gets 20% more power and 15% less energy required to handle AI tasks.

iPhone 11 Specifications

The iPhone 11 features a 6.1-inch 828 x 1792 pixels HD+ LCD Super Retina display. It uses the latest Apple A13 Bionic chipset combined with improved quad-core GPU. The device runs on the latest iOS 13 out of the box. As for optics, it has dual 12MP, f/1.8 (wide) OIS + 12MP, f/2.4 (ultra-wide) sensors. On the front, it has another 12MP shooter paired with ToF 3D sensor, which can be also used as Face ID to scan your portrait. The rear camera is capable of recording up to 4K video @60fps.

As far as storage is concerned, it has three variants with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of internal storage, which can’t be expended further. The RAM is given 4GB to all three variants. It has a 3110 mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support. It arrives in various color options including Black, Green, Yellow, Purple, Red, and White.

iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro

Even though both the handsets share almost similar specifications, we will be assessing features simultaneously. The only major difference is two different sizes of displays and batteries on these smartphones. The iPhone 11 Pro accumulates a 5.8-inch 1125 x 2436 pixels Full HD+ OLED display, while, iPhone 11 Pro Max brings a significantly larger 6.5-inch OLED Super Retina display at 1242 x 2688 pixels resolution. Both the devices are powered by the Apple A13 Bionic chipset and run on the latest iOS 13 out of the box.

The iPhone 11 Pro includes a 3,190 mAh non-removable battery and iPhone 11 Pro Max has a slightly larger 3500 mAh battery. Both the handsets support 18W fast charging and wireless charging. The camera department is handled by the triple 12MP, f1.8 (wide), OIS + 12MP, f/2.0 (telephoto) OIS, 2x optical zoom + 12MP, f/2.4 (ultrawide) rear cameras and a dual 12 MP, f/2.2 + TOF 3D camera on both devices.

In addition, all three come with stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support for the enhanced audio experience. All the essential connectivity features are present on all the devices. Dedicated Face ID hardware gives assurance to provide up to the mark security when it comes to unlocking the device.

Pricing and Availability

The Apple iPhone 11 base variant starts from 699$, iPhone Pro costs $999, and iPhone 11 Pro Max goes up to $1,099 for the base 64GB versions. They will be up for pre-order starting September 13 and will start shipping on September 20 in the USA. As for Indian pricing, iPhone 11 base variant costs 64,900 INR, iPhone 11 Pro starts from 99,900 INR and goes up to 1,09,900 for iPhone 11 Pro Max base variant.
