Asus ROG Phone II gets over 1.6 million registrations in China

Asus recently launched a new gaming smartphone called Asus ROG Phone II and afterward, it went for pre-orders in home country China. The device is now getting very impressive numbers with pre-orders as it has been already registered by more than 1.6 Million people only on JD.COM. The main reason behind these numbers must be its aggressive pricing as the device only costs 3499 CNY for base Tenscent variant or roughly converted into approx. 510 US$.

Further, Gsmarena reports that the Tencent variant comes with plenty of pre-installed bloatware on this aggressively priced version for the local market. If you want to purchase non-Tencent variant, you have to 5,999 CNY for the 12GB RAM and 128GB storage, which isn’t cheap at all, while, the price goes up to 6,199 CNY for the 512GB storage variant with the same quantity of RAM. The first sale will be kicked off on July 31 as various retailers have started taking pre-orders.

Asus ROG Phone II Specifications

The Asus ROG Phone II features a 6.59-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD 120 GHz OLED display with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It supports 10-bit HDR having the lowest latency on any smartphone at 49ms as per the company’s claim. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor coupled with Adreno 640 GPU.

As for optics, it has a dual 48MP + 13MP rear camera, whereas, on the front, it has a single 24MP shooter to capture selfies. As for storage, it comes in two variants; either 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage or  512GB of storage with same 12GB of RAM under the hood. It has 6,000 mAh non-removable battery, that supports 30W fast charging support. Overall, it is a gaming beast at a reasonable price if you don’t mind additional bloatware to be added in your device.
