5G connectivity is gradually becoming mainstream. The 5G roll-out has been already started in Japan, now its time China’s opening. According to a new report, China Telecom will officially launch the 5G in September starting with Beijing, afterward, it will cover the whole of China.
This is mainly for new users, while, the existing users don’t need to change their SIM card because they can experience 5G networks without changing the number. The 4G package can be upgraded to a 5G package, but the prerequisite is that you need a mobile phone that supports 5G network. When it comes to pricing, It is reported that China Telecom’s 5G package tariff is expected to range from 199 yuan to 599 yuan.
According to the previous news, the three major operators will officially commercialize 5G networks in September this year. For the sake of testing, the three currently offer 5G experience packages to internal users, and the monthly data limit is said to be set 100GB. Currently, only a few smartphones support 5G connectivity in China such as ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G, Huawei Mate 20 X 5G, but all the major manufacturers are planning to launch 5G enabled smartphones in near future.
