Realme has become very popular among the young population of India since its entry last year. It is one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands in the entire industry. As you might be aware, Realme phones share ColorOS UI with its sister company Oppo. Frankly speaking, it isn’t that impressive in comparison to its arch-rival Xiaomi’ MIUI user interface. Earlier, this year company was interested to introduce a new Realme OS specifically for Realme phones.

Now, it seems Realme is working on ColorOS 7 for Realme devices against RealmeOS adoption speculation. In the latest episode of #AskMadhavSeth, CEO of Realme India Mr. Madhav Seth confirms that they are working on Color OS 7 for Realme devices. This means, there wouldn’t be any RealmeOS, at least for the next year. He further pointed out that realme devices will get the tweaked version of ColorOS 7, that would be offering nearly Stock Android user interface. Certainly, it is a piece of good news for those who were seeking Stock Android experience within the custom features provided by the company.

When he was asked about the ColorOS 6.0.1 update for Realme devices. He replied, “why 6.0.1, let’s directly roll out ColorOS 7.” Many of the latest Realme devices run on ColorOS 6.0.1; therefore, older device holders are curious to get the latest update. But the company appears to spin around to directly push the Color OS 7. Realme is set to launch a RealMe X2 Pro smartphone in mid-November. Most probably, we can hear more on this topic in that launch event.

Realme device roadmap to get Android 10 update

However, we can’t confirm Android 10 will run on ColorOS 7. But it is likely to adopt the latest user interface. Realme has already confirmed the full schedule for the Android 10 OS upgrade. Based on the schedule provided by the company, Realme 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme X, and XT will get the Android 10 update in Q1, 2020. Realme 3, Realme 5 and Realme 3i will follow in Q2, 2020. Finally, another realme smartphone called Realme 2 Pro will get it by Q3 in the same year.
