Honor 20 Youth Edition arriving on October 22 in China (updated)

Update: As we had expected, the company today officially announced that Honor 20 Youth Edition will be launched on October 22 in China.

Huawei sub-brand Honor is soon going to launch Honor 20 Youth Edition, the company officially confirms on its Weibo handle. We can hear some official announcements regarding the Honor 20 Youth on October 15. The published teaser doesn’t say anything about the launch. Therefore, we are skeptical about whether the company will be unveiling the actual device or just a new brand ambassador.

Besides, the poster proposes bringing center-aligned selfie camera and in-display fingerprint sensor. As for specs, a device with model number “LRA-AL00” has been spotted on Chinese authority TEENA, which is the potential Honor 20 Youth.

Honor 20 Youth Expected Specifications

Based on the TEENA listing, the device will have a 6.3-inch 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ OLED display. The device utilizes the 2.2GHz octa-core processor, which could be the Kirin 810 SoC. As far as optics are concerned, it has a triple camera module on the back with 48MP + 8MP + 2MP sensors. On the front, there is another 16MP shooter to capture the selfies.

The smartphone packs the 3,900 mAh non-removable battery with 20W fast charging support disclosed by the 3C listing. It runs on the Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box. The smartphone have three storage variants; 4GB RAM / 64GB storage, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB of built-in storage. Additionally, it has a Nano-Micro SD slot to expand the storage further up to 256GB. The dimensions are 157.2×73.2×7.65 mm, while the weight is approx. 172 grams.
