Huawei IFA 2019 event scheduled to happen on September 6

Huawei officially confirms its IFA 2019 event to happen on September, 6 in Berlin, Germany. However, the company didn’t confirm to launch any particular product, but the slogan reads it “Think Evolutionally.” Further, it indicates something 5G related announcement. Last year, the company had announced HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset at the same event, therefore, we can expect to see its successor speculated to be called HiSilicon Kirin 990.

It is rumored to be built on TSMS’s 7nm EUV process and relatively more powerful CPU & GPU, and integrated 5G modem, just like the MediaTek and Qualcomm confirmed with their upcoming 5G enabled chipsets. In addition, we aren’t expecting to see revolutionary changes in Kirin 990, which also justifies with the company’s slogan.

A report from Neowin claims the HiSilicon Kirin 990 chip will support 4K video recording @60fps. Furthermore, we can see some other interesting products announced by other companies too. Recently, LG had teased a dual-display foldable smartphone to be launched on August 6. Nokia parent company HMD Global is also taking part in this event for the first time, so we can see some products from Nokia as well.

Apart from that, Sony is also rumored to launch a new smartphone at IFA, 2019. All in all, IFA is a good trade show for consumer electronics, where different companies showcase their products. All in all, we would be seeing some new products from different smartphone brands at IFA 2019, that will take place from September 6 to September 11 in Berlin, Germany.
