Huawei Nova 5z officially announced in China

Huawei just unveils the Nova 5Z smartphone for the Chinese market. The device almost replicates the recently announced Nova 5i Pro with almost identical configurations, but at a lower price point and different storage variants.

Speaking to the specs, Huawei Nova 5z brings a 6.26-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ LCD display. The handset is powered by the Kirin 810 processor paired with the Mali-G52 MP6 GPU to handle the graphics-intensive tasks. It runs on EMIUI 9.1 user interface based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. To recall, Kirin 810 is a very capable processor with a dedicated DaVinci NPU unit for advanced AI experience.

it has 6GB of RAM combined with 64GB / 128GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via the NM card slot. As far as optics are concerned, it boasts a quad 48MP + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) rear camera as well as a 32MP front-facing shooter. The rear camera is eligible to capture up to 4K video recording @30fps. Moreover, the device packs a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery, which supports up to 20W fast charger.

All the required connectivity features are present on this device. The rear-mounted physical fingerprint sensor is embedded to ensure safe unlocking. It measures 156.1 x 73.9 x 8.3 mm and weight is 178 grams. Overall, it is a mid-range device begging some impressive specifications under the hood.
