Huawei P40 Lite could be re-branded Nova 6 SE, claims tipster

After unveiling the flagship Mate 30 series, the Chinese firm Huawei plans for the next big thing Huawei P40 series. If the market rumors are to believed, the series could be launched in the next couple of months, even though no official confirmation yet. Usually, the company launches multiple variants under the “P” series and no exception this year either. According to a tipster, the company will be launching P40 Lite, which is likely to be rebranded Huawei Nova 6 SE launched recently in China. However, it doesn’t come as a surprise as the company usually launches various devices with a different naming scheme in global markets.

Huawei P40 Lite (Nova 6 SE) Specifications

Speaking of the specs, Huawei Nova 6 SE incorporates 6.4-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ IPS LCD display. It packs HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC coupled with Mali-G52 MP6 GPU. It has four cameras on the back including 48MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth sensors. The rear camera is well-capable of recording up to 4K UHD video @30fps. The front side gets a 16MP selfie shooter with the punch-hole arrangement. It runs on the latest EMUI 10 UI based on Android 10 operating system.

The handset brings 4200 mAh non-removable battery having 40W fast charging support out of the box. Regarding the storage, the handset only has a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via the NM card slot. The device measures 159.2 x 76.3 x 8.7 mm, while the weight is 183 grams. Overall, the specifications are decent enough. It would be interesting to see whether the company launch the same device or make some measurable changes. For final confirmation, we have to wait for the official launch.
