Moto G8, Moto G8 Power specifications leaked ahead of official launch

Last year, Motorola had launched Moto G8 Play and G8 Plus smartphones. But we haven’t heard about standard Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power till now, which were the part of Moto G7 series. But now we have major specifications list courtesy of XDA-Developers. The website reveals all the crucial configurations through their trusted sources.

Moto G8 Expected Specifications

According to the publication, the Moto G8 packs 6.39-inch 720 x 1560 pixels HD+ single hole-punch display, which is reserved for the selfie camera. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU to handle graphics-intensive tasks. Considering the optics, the smartphone sports triple camera setup at the rear. The primary camera is a 16MP shooter + 2MP macro lens + 8MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP front-facing shooter.

The handset packs 4000 mAh non-removable battery with standard 10W ordinary charging support. As for storage, there are multiple variants could be launched with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The expandable storage option should be there as we have seen in the previous generation phones. All the essential connectivity options are expected except NFC support. Which is a drawback, but should be accepted in the lower mid-range segment.

Moto G8 Power Expected Specifications

The Moto G8 Power incorporates slight smaller 6.36-inch display but with a sharper 1080 x 2300 pixels Full HD+ resolution. The device utilises the same Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with an integrated Adreno 610 graphics card. In terms of optics, Moto G8 Power boasts a similar arrangement with additional 8MP sensor. Meaning it includes four cameras at the back with primary 16MP shooter. The front-facing shooter is also upgraded with 25MP snapper for selfie lovers.

Unlike the standard Moto G8, the device packs larger 5000 mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support. The battery has been always a USP for Moto “G” power and company retails it. Moreover, both the smartphones run on latest Android 10 operating system. The physical fingerprint sensor is available on both the devices, most probably at the rear portion. Overall, these are the configuration what we know so far. Hopefully, we will hear more about these smartphones in the coming days. What are your thoughts? Do let’s know in below comment section!
