Nokia 2.3 with MediaTek Helio A22 chip, 6.2-inch HD+ display launched in India

Nokia recently announced the upgraded version of Nokia 2.2 earlier this month. The new smartphone name is Nokia 2.3 and comes with almost similar specs as its predecessor. But there are two cameras on the back instead single snapper found on Nokia 2.2. Finally, the smartphone enters the Indian market. It is priced at Rs. 8,199 for the only available variant.

The device comes in four colours options, including Cyan Green, Sand, and Charcoal. As for availability, it will start selling from December 27 via the company’s official online store as well as offline retailers. Besides, the company offers a one-year replacement guarantee, that only applies if you purchase the device before March 31, 2020, and activated by April 7, 2020. If you want to enjoy that offer, you should buy the device before the given date.

Nokia 2.3 Specifications

The Nokia 2.3 incorporates 6.2-inch 720 x 1520 pixels HD+ LCD display on the front. The device utilises the MediaTek Helio A22 octa-core processor clocked @2.0GHz. The GPU is PowerVR GE8320 to handle the graphics-intensive tasks. The optics department arrives with dual 13MP + 2MP cameras on the back and a 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies. The primary camera is well capable of recording up to 1080p video @30fps. It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box. But the company claims it is ready to deliver the Android 10 update soon.

Being a part of Google’s Android One initiative, it delivers the Stock Android user interface, which gives you the guarantee of timely updates directly from the Android owner. The handset packs 4000 mAh non-removable battery with standard charging support. All the essential connectivity options are present on this device. Unfortunately, the phone doesn’t arrive with a fingerprint sensor, which might be a security concern. But given the price bracket, it could be justified. What are your thoughts?
