With the launch of ColorOS 7, Oppo announced Reno 3 to become the first smartphone to carry the latest OS out of the box. However, we don’t have an exact launch date, but it will be launched somewhere this month. Most of the key specifications have been already confirmed. Today, the company reveals that Oppo Reno 3 supports an integrated SA / NSA dual-mode 5G network.
According to the official oppo website, there will be two smartphones under the “Reno 3” series dubbed as Oppo Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro. The Reno 3 Pro smartphone will have Snapdragon 765G chipset, while the standard Reno 3 packs MediaTek 5G chipset. As for thickness, the pro variant is slightly slim with 7.7mm thickness compared to 7.96mm for standard Reno 3. Moreover, the official listing also suggests for December 26 launch date, as the appointment ends the same day.
Oppo Reno3 Specifications (TEENA)
In addition to that, an Oppo device with model number “PCPM00” has been certified by the Chinese telecom authority site TEENA. The spotted Oppo device is speculated to be standard Reno3 based on available official data. Based on TEENA, the device will have a 6.4-inch 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ AMOLED display. It is powered by the 2.1GHz octa-core processor, which could be MediaTek Dimensity 1000 SoC or rumored MT6885. It measures 160.2×73.3×7.9mm, while the weight is 172 grams.
The handset equips quad-camera setup on the back with 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP arrangement. The front side includes a punch-hole 16MP front-facing shooter for selfies. As far as storage is concerned, the device will have 8GB RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box. It packs a 4025 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. That is what we know so far. For further information, we have to wait for the official launch.
