Oppo Reno Ace and Oppo K5 officially announced – Price, Specification, Features and More

Oppo has announced two new smartphones, namely Oppo Reno Ace and Oppo K5. Both smartphones target different segments at different price points. The Oppo Reno Ace is the company’s flagship phone, while the Oppo K5 positions under the mid-range segment.

Oppo Reno Ace Specifications

The Oppo Reno Ace features 6.5-inch 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The maximum brightness goes up to 500nits for the provided panel. It has Snapdragon 855+ processor clocked @2.96GHz. The GPU is Adreno 640 to handle graphics-intensive jobs. It runs on the latest Android 10 out of the box on the top of ColorOS 6.1 custom skin.

Considering the optics, the device adopts a quad-camera setup on the back. The primary sensor is 48MP followed by 13MP (telephoto) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP depth sensors. The Electronic Image Stabilisation support is present for enhanced stability while recording the video. Moreover, the front side surrounds another 16MP shooter applied under waterdrop notch. The smartphone brings multiple storage variants with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM coupled with a maximum of 256GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via hybrid micro SD slot.

It packs 4,000 mAh non-removable battery under the hood. Notably, the company offers a 65W fast SuperVOOC Flash Charge adapter, which is capable of charging 100% just in 30 minutes. All the essential connectivity optics are available,  and it comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the company also introduces a limited 40th anniversary Gundam Edition of Reno Ace. It has a different back design designated, and the company will be bringing the special accessories for this custom edition.

Oppo Reno Ace Price and Availability

The Oppo Reno Ace arrives in Psychedelic Purple and Starry Blue color optics. As for pricing, the base variant is priced at 2,999 CNY, which goes up to 3,199 CNY for 8GB / 256GB variant. The top variant with 12GB RAM / 256GB storage costs 3,799 CNY. The device is already up for reservation, even though the actual purchase will start from October 17. Unfortunately, the company didn’t provide pricing and availability date of custom edition, which we should hear in the coming weeks.

Oppo K5 Specifications

The Oppo K5 reminds us of the Realme XT, which is a sister company of Oppo brand. The device features 6.4-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ AMOLED display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 730G SoC based octa-core CPU, which is specifically designed for the enhanced gaming experience. It employs the quad-camera setup with 64MP GW1 sensor + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP and another 32MP front-facing shooter. An in-display fingerprint sensor is embedded under the display.

The smartphone packs 4,000 mAh non-removable battery with 30W fast charging support. It runs on Android 9 Pie based on ColorOS 6 out of the box. Regarding the storage, it has up to 8GB RAM coupled with 256GB of built-in storage with an expansion of 256GB via an external dedicated micro SD slot. Moreover, the necessary connectivity options are present.

Oppo K5 Price and Availability

The Oppo K5 comes in three Green, White, and Blue gradients color options. It is priced at 1,899 CNY for base 6GB / 128GB variant, 2,099 CNY for 8GB / 128GB, and top variants brings 2,499 CNY price tag with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage under the hood.
