POCO X2 officially confirmed to arrive on February 4 in India

Poco has finally confirmed the launch date of POCO F1 successor. An official tweet published by the company’s official twitter account says that POCO X2 will be announced on February 4. The company has also started sending invites for X2 launch, that will held in New Delhi, India. To recall, the company had launched POCO F1 smartphone back in 2018. Then, they have skipped 2019 and launched the Redmi K20 series with flagship specification to replace the F1 smartphone in the budget segment.

Recently, Xiaomi, the parent company of POCO, declared POCO as an independent brand just like they did with Redmi. Soon after, the company has started hinting to launch a new smartphone in Q1, 2020. Finally, we get an official call for the POCO X2, which will go official within a few days. Company’s official product page reads “Extreme Gaming” and “Extreme Refresh Rate” as it is listed with 120Hz refresh rate. The device will also come with Snapdragon chipset and advanced cooling system for flawless gaming.

Redmi K30 4G (potential POCO X2) Specifications

Based on the earlier speculations, POCO X2 is rebranded version of Redmi K30 4G, that was previously launched in China. Speaking to the specs, Redmi K30 4G accumulates 6.67-inch 1080 x 2400 pixels IPS LCD display at 120Hz refresh rate. The device is crafted with full glass design protected by Corning Gorilla 5 protection on both sides. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with Adreno 618 GPU. Regarding the optics, it has quad-camera setup at the back with primary 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor. The front side incorporated dual 20MP + 2MP punch-hole selfie camera.

The Redmi K30 4G packs 4500 mAh non-removable battery with 27W fast charging support. It runs on the latest MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box. There are multiple storage variants up to 256GB of built-in storage and 8GB of RAM. All the essential connectivity options are present on this device.
