Redmi Note 8 series 10 million units sold globally in just three months

There is no doubt that the Redmi Note 8 series one of the most anticipated smartphones series of 2019. The company today officially announced Redmi Note 8 series has crossed 10 million sales globally only in just 3 months with on average 1,10,000 units sold daily. The company further emphasizes that the achievement comes one month earlier than the previous generation Redmi Note 7 series. Further, the same Weibo post suggests some important announcements regarding the Redmi K30 series tomorrow.

The Redmi series has been very popular among the mid-range segment in growing Asian markets, especially in India where most of the people prefer to buy 10-15K price smartphones. Apart from that, the company has also made a successful debut in the European market. Overall, Redmi is passing through its golden period. Soon, the company is going to launch Redmi K30, the first 5G smartphone under the banner of Redmi.

Redmi Note 8 / Note 8 Pro Specifications

The Redmi Note 8 series was introduced in August month in the domestic market. Standard Redmi Note 8 features 6.39-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ LCD panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. The device packs 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor + 8MP, 120-degree ultra-wide lens + 2MP depth + 2MP macro lens combination. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie camera. It has a 4000 mAh non-removable battery paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

On the other hand, Redmi Note 8 Pro has a relatively bigger 6.53-inch with the same resolution. It targets the gaming lover audience with MediaTek Helio G90T chipset paired with 800MHz Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. The rear is surrounded by a quad-camera module, where the main sensor is Samsung’s 64MP GW1 sensor coupled with 8MP, 120-degree ultra-wide lens + 2MP depth + 2MP macro lens. It runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10 out of the box.

The handset boasts a 4500 mAh non-removable battery with 18W power supplied in the box, but it further provides support for Quick Charge 4+. It has an IP52 rated body for Splash resistant and other essential options are available on both the devices such as Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port for charging.
