Samsung has silently launched a new smartphone named Samsung Galaxy A01. However, there is no information available regarding pricing and availability, but all the major configuration has been listed. At first glance, the device looks lower mid-range device with average specs and compact body.

The Samsung Galaxy A01 comes with 5.7-inch 720p HD+ Infinity-V LCD panel on the top. The device uses an unnamed octa-core processor clocked @1.95GHz. Most probably, it should be an Exynos chip under the hood. It has two cameras at the back. The primary one is a 13MP shooter combined with a 2MP secondary sensor. The front portion gets a 5MP front-facing selfie shooter.
The handset packs the 3000 mAh non-removable battery. As for storage, there are two 6GB / 8GB RAM options available paired with 128GB storage. The storage is expandable up to 512GB via dedicated micro SD slot. The device only brings Proximity, Light, and Accelerometer sensors. Meaning it lacks a fingerprint sensor and important sensors. It is a usual case with Samsung as the company ditch some of the essential sensors for low price devices.
The smartphone dimensions are 146.3 x 70.86 x 8.34mm, while, weight is missing. All the essential connectivity options have been provided.
