Qualcomm recently announced its flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset. This is one of the fastest chipsets used on any Android smartphone without any doubt. Now, the most popular benchmarking Antutu releases the benchmark scores running Snapdragon 865 chipset. The scores are not surprising at all as it tops the Antutu chart with 568,919 points. According to Qualcomm, Snapdragon 865 is 25% faster in CPU, and GPU performance has been increased by 20% over Snapdragon 855. The enhanced performance is visible in the Antutu score.

Speaking of specs, Snapdragon 865 comes with a tri-cluster octa-core CPU. Where the 1x Kryo 585 Prime core clocks @2.84GHz, three Kryo 585 Gold cores @2.4GHz and efficiency 4x Kryo 585 Silver cores are clocked @1.8GHz. Basically, Qualcomm is using customized Cortex-A77 cores, which are the latest ones in the industry. Speed-wise, all the core are similar to the Snapdragon 855 but thanks to the latest 7nm EUV manufacturing node and latest Cortex-A77 cores, the actual CPU speed has been improved significantly. The latest Adreno 650 GPU also gets visible improvements in terms of performance as well as gaming optimizations.
However, Snapdragon 865 doesn’t come with an integrated 5G modem, but it has now a more advanced Snapdragon X55 5G modem. The latest modem is well capable of delivering up to 7Gbps download and 3Gbps upload speeds under the 5G network. It further supports dual-mode SA/NSA networking support to adapt accordingly in between 2G to 5G. Overall, Snapdragon 865 fulfills all the needs of modern smartphones.
