Chinese firm Xiaomi just announces the Mi CC9 Pro smartphone in China as expected. The key highlight of this device is the Penta-lens rear camera setup with a primary 108MP sensor. The smartphone appears to be a camera-centric with plenty of other good features in mid-range segments.

The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro features 6.47-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ AMOLED display at 600nit brightness. Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset powers the device with Adreno 618 GPU to handle the graphics-intensive tasks. The company highlights its 108MP Penta-lens rear camera more than any other features.

It utilizes five rear cameras including 108MP main 1/1.33-inch Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor + 12MP, Samsung SAK2L3 (telephoto) + another 8MP (telephoto) and 20MP ultra-wide sensor combined with 2MP dedicated video macro lens. The rear camera is well capable of producing 5x optical zoom with IOS as well as 50x digital zoom, the company further pointed out. The front side is surrounded by a 32MP, f/2.2 selfie camera under the U-shaped notch. According to the DxOMark ranking, it jointly shares the first position along with Huawei Mate 30 Pro by scoring 121 points. This is one of the best scoring phones in the video department with 102 points.
The handset packs 5,260 mAh non-removable battery with 30W fast charging support. It runs on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 11 out of the box. All the necessary connectivity options are available on this device including NFC and Infrared sensor. Moreover, an in-display fingerprint sensor is embedded under the display for security purposes.
As for storage, the smartphone comes with multiple storage variants; 6GB RAM / 128GB storage or 8GB / 256GB internal storage. Further, there is no slot available to expand the storage. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro comes in Midnight Black, Aurora Green and Snow Aurora color options. It is priced at 2,799 CNY (approx. Rs. 27,999) for the base variant, which goes up to 3,499 CNY (approx. Rs. 34,999) for the top 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. As far as availability is concerned, it is already up for pre-orders with shipping starting from November 11 in China.
