ZTE Nubia Z20 with dual-display, Snapdragon 855 Plus, 8K video recording goes official

ZTE has finally unleashed (via: Sparrownews) a new smartphone under its subbrand Nubia dubbed as Nubia Z20. The handset comes with dual-display functionality, that can quickly switch the content independently. However, this is not the first Nubia comes with this concept, lately, Nubia X was also featuring dual-display, but still a worthy upgrade.

Nubia Z20 Specifications

Speaking to the specs, the Nubia Z20 sports a curved 6.42-inch FHD+ AMOLED display at 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, while, the secondary display uses a 5.1-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel at same 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor cloaked @2.96 GHz Octa-core CPU paired with Adreno 640 GPU. It runs on Android 9 Pie based on Nubia 7 UI on the top.

The optics department is handled by the triple camera with primary 48MP, f/1.7, OIS wide Sony IMX 585 sensor, secondary 8MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and a 16MP ultra-wide sensor. Although there is no selfie camera, you can use the rear camera to capture selfies using secondary display; Therefore, it has the advantage to take clearer selfies with the main camera. The camera is capable of recording up to 8K videos @15fps as it was promised earlier.

Furthermore, the Nubia Z20 packs 4,000 mAh non-removable battery to keep the light on. It further supports 27W fast charging to charge the device quickly. As for storage, it has multiple variants with up to 8GB RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage, depending upon which variant you choose. All the essential connectivity features are present on this device. The device measurements are 158.6 x 75.2 x 9.2 mm and weight is 186 grams.

Nubia Z20 Pricing and Availability

The Nubia Z20 is priced at 3,499 CNY for base 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, 8GB RAM variant with same storage cost 3,699 CNY, which goes up to 4,199 CNY for the top variant with 8GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. All the variants are being supplied in Black, Blue and Orange color options with the pre-orders starting from today. The device will start shipping from August 16. The company promises to soon launch it in global markets without giving any specific date.
