Huawei Mate 30 series officially confirmed to arrive on September 19

Huawei officially confirmed that Mate 30 series will be unveiled on September 19 in Munich, Germany.

Huawei Mate 30 series is one of the most anticipated smartphone series of 2019. We already have a long tail of rumors and leaks disclosing different aspects of this series. Finally, the company officially confirms the Mate 30 series will be unveiled on September 19 in Munich, Germany. However, the small video clip released by the company itself doesn’t reveal anything special except the launch date, but we have a very precise like of Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro based on previous rumors and leaks.

Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro Expected Specs

However, both the smartphones are likely to share a dual-curved edge display with a notch potentially used for facial recognition, but the Mate 30 Pro has extensive curvature on either side giving it a waterfall look. Some leaks claim that Mate 30 Pro will have a 6.71-inch display, while, the standard Mate 30’s display size is still unknown. These devices must have the latest Kirin 990 chipset, which will be officially announced on September 6 during the IFA 2019 event.

In terms of optics, the Mate 30 Pro is speculated to bring quad-camera setup designed by its co-partner Leica, expected to be 40MP, 1/1.5″ with a variable aperture of f/1.6 – f/1.4 main sensor, another  40MP, 1/1.7″, a 120-degree ultrawide secondary sensor and an 8MP telephoto lens third sensor with support of 5x lossless zoom, while, the fourth one is not yet known. On the other hands, we don’t have any concrete evidence to make any claim of standard Mate 30 camera, but some Chinese reports claim, it will have a triple camera module on the back.

Furthermore, the Mate 30 will have 4,200 mAh battery, while, the Mate 30 Pro likely to bring a 4,500 mAh battery with 55W wired SuperCharge and 25W wireless fast charging support. A recent disclosure emphasized that 55W fast charging could be exclusive to Mate 30 Pro, whereas, standard variant can be restricted to 40W fast charging support, which isn’t bad at all. All in all, the company is all set to launch its next flagship series on September 19.

In a separate report, Google executive told to the Reuters (via: theverge) that the Huawei might not be able to provide Google apps and services for its upcoming devices due to the ban imposed by the USA govt. This could be a major drawback because people heavily rely on Google’s services on Android OS, at least in global markets. Therefore, Huawei has huge responsibility to find solutions for these restrictions. Otherwise, it could affect its global sales, which are already shrinking.
