Xiaomi Sold 15 Million Redmi Note 7 Series units globally

Xiaomi officially confirms that they have sold 15 Million units of Redmi Note 7 Series worldwide. They are offering these devices at a discounted price in mainland China. The Redmi Note 7 6GB RAM variant is priced at 1,199 RMB, which goes up to 1,399 RMB for Redmi Note 7 Pro 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

Xiaomi today announces that they have completed 15 Million global sales of its Redmi Note 7 series. The duo was announced back in January this year; therefore it took around 6 months of time to achieve that milestone. However, this isn’t a surprising thing as the demand for company’s affordable Redmi series is increasing day by day in global markets.

On this special occasion, the company is offering both the devices at a discounted price as a “Thank You” gesture. After cost-cutting, The Redmi Note 7 6GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at 1,199 RMB or roughly converted into 175$, while, the Redmi Note 7 Pro 6GB RAM + 128GB costs 1,399 RMB (203$), which is almost 200 RMB (29$) lesser then it’s previous price.

Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro Specs

Speaking to the specs, both the devices are crafted with the glass body design and come with powerful CPUs. The Redmi Note 7 is driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor, whereas, Pro variant packs even more powerful Snapdragon 710 SoC. Both have 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD Panel at 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. These devices run on custom MIUI 10 UI based on Android 9 Pie.

When it comes to optics, it varies market to market. The Indian market gets a 12MP + 2MP rear camera module for Redmi Note 7, But the Chinese market has almost identical cameras on both having 48MP + 5MP rear camera sensors. The front side is handled by a 13MP selfie shooter. These devices boast 4,000 mAh non-removable battery coupled with 18W fast charging support.
