Vivo S1 with Helio P65 chipset, triple rear camera, 4500 mAh battery launched

Vivo unveils a new smartphone in India called Vivo S1, as it was promised. It will worth noting that the same device was launched in China a few months ago named as Vivo Y7s, while the Indian market gets a different name without any significant change. Its key selling points are 4500 mAh battery, triple rear camera, and a 32-megapixels selfie snapper.

Vivo S1 specifications

Vivo S1 is equipped with a 6.38-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ Super AMOLED display on the top. The handset is powered by the octa-core Mediatek MT6768 Helio P65 chipset clocked primary two Cortex-A75 cores @2.0 GHz, while, the other six Cortex-A55 cores are pointed @1.7 GHz. The GPU is given Mali-G52 MC2 to handle graphics-intensive tasks. As for storage, it comes in multiple variants with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Further moving to optics, there is a triple camera setup on the rear; the main 16MP, /f1.8 aperture sensor with a wide lens, followed by 8MP, f/2.2 aperture secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. On the front, it has a single 32 MP, f/2.0 camera for selfies, that includes various modes such as HDR, Live photo, PDAF, AI super wide-angle, portrait mode, AI portrait framing, Doc mode, Professional mode, AR Stickers, AI Face Beauty, Video Face Beauty and many more to enhance to images and video quality.

The Vivo S1 packs a 4,500 mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support. Further, it runs on Funtouch 9.0 based Android 9 Pie out of the box. All the essential connectivity features are present on this device. The device measurements are 159.5 x 75.2 x 8.1 mm and weighs almost 180 grams. The in-display fingerprint sensor is embedded in screen to provide enhanced security.

Vivo S1 Pricing and Availability in India

The Vivo S1 is priced at 17,990 INR for base 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant costs 18,990 INR, which goes up to 19,990 INR for higher 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. As for availability, the base variant will start selling from tomorrow including Skyline Blue and Diamond Black color options via various online and offline stores, whereas, other variants will join it later without any specific date given by the company.
